This week our Aboriginal Studies class visited Barangaroo and The Rocks!
They went on an Aboriginal led tour of Sydney Harbour and learnt about the importance of the land to Aboriginal heritage and its significance to the clans of the Eora Nation.
The tours extended throughout the six-hectare headland of Barangaroo Reserve, taking in the 75,000 native Australian trees and shrubs that are a feature of the Reserve.
They then visited The Rocks with Aunty Margaret to share in the rich interactive seasonal culture that’s deeply embedded in the songlines on the land.
