Student Leadership

At GRC Oatley we acknowledge that in the large number of students in each year, we have many students with leadership qualities who participate willingly and enthusiastically in the life of the school and the local community.  These students bring the very assets and qualities to their future workplaces that are implied in the word ‘Leader’.

Student leaders are those who are resourceful, good problem solvers, promoters of school activities, idea-contributors, dependable, and persons who exemplify positive attitudes about life. Leadership experiences can be drawn from school or community activities while working with or for others.

LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AT GRC OATLEY:

The Student Representative Council (SRC) liaises between the students and the Principal to make this school the best for students. Year 11 Councillors are elected in Week 4 Term 1, allowing students from all schools to participate in the SRC.
